Russell is the Director for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Del Mar College. He started the program in 1997. Russell has an A.A.S. Degree in Physical Therapy from Amarillo College, a B.S. in Community Health from Abilene Christian University, and an M.S in Occupational Training and Development and Education Technology from Texas A&M; University, Corpus Christi. He also is a student in a Educational Leadership Doctoral Program at Texas A&M; University, Corpus Christi, with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration. Russell has been on several Boards of Directors at the local, state and national level in a variety of areas. He currently serves on the Parks and Recreation board of directors of the for the City of Corpus Christi; is the training officer for the Texas State Guard/Texas Medical Rangers, Corpus Christi unit as a 1st Lieutenant; and serves on the national level as a delegate to American Physical Therapy Association's College of Physical Therapists. He has gained valuable leadership experience though these opportunities.
