Section 2: Assessments
The following Pre-Test and Post-Test may be used by the instructor to assess student learning in "To Be or Not To Be A Linear Equation: That Is the Question" subtopic. A Pre-Test and Post-Test Key is also provided.
At the conclusion of this subtopic students should be proficient in determining and explaining if an equation is linear or non-linear and determining and using points and the x-and y-intercept of an equation to graph a line.

Line Gem 1 by Sulan Dun of FunBasedLearning.com provides a simple game to help students practice graphing lines using ordered pairs. Although the game is designed for a younger math student, college developmental math students may find it useful to play this game several times.
